MOTTARONE-STRESA
From Lesa we continue along the lake to Stresa, where we take the cable car and climb to the summit of Mount Mottarone.
On a dirt road, the descent from the summit of Mottarone down to the lake is pure adrenaline!
We pedal through forests and meadows, tackling an important difference in altitude: we start at an altitude of 1,490 m and arrive at an altitude of 200 m.
Mottarone is the mountain between the two lakes, Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta, the last Alpine bastion before the Po Valley. Today it is a park with streams, forests and vast meadows, offering views of no less than seven pre-alpine lakes and the Swiss and Italian Alps.
For the more daring, we also recommend the climb!
