LAGONI OF MERCURAGO
A route within the Lagoni di Mercurago Park, a protected natural area located in a hilly area just above Lake Maggiore. This area was included in 2011 among the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites by being among the 111 prehistoric pile-dwelling sites located around the Alps.
It is possible to reach the Lagoni Nature Park by bicycle, cycling along the SS 33 on the shores of Lake Maggiore, or by train (Dormelletto stop).
